Paul Tevis -- that is, ptevis -- is a magnificent bastard. A glorious magnificent bastard.

You see, I just received my hardcopy of A Penny for My Thoughts.

And I read it. All of it.

You're not getting an Underkoffler's Overview on this puppy until I play it.

WORD.

game design, underkoffler's overviews, 240 dollars worth of puddin', wang, mad rpg theory, wtf?, gaming, podcast, philosophy, evilhat

I'm really looking forward to running it at AWA this year, though in my heresy I'll likely offend those who want "normal people with normal problems" by injecting giant robots or other anime-style weirdness, but hey ... That's my idiom. :)

Dude, I put a Call of Cthulhu setup in the appendices. There's no heresy in what you propose.

I was just thinking of the ongoing semi-theme of folks in the indy game community complaining there aren't enough games where there are "normal people in normal situations." My bitter evil ironies are not ready for human consumption!

Thanks to Fred, however, I have the original handout files so my changes will at least look official. ;)

"Normal people in normal situations" is called "life." I don't play a game to experience that. Bits of it tossed into the adventure to make the whole feel more real, yes. But "Papers and Paychecks"? Pass.

Just make sure you put some good thought into what you write down as your alternative Facts & Reassurances doc... and then share that doc with us at the Institute. :)
