Whew.
I started cleaning today at 10 am.
At 1 pm, my girlfriend geekchick came over with her carpet shampooer and a box of nasty chemicals.
At 6 pm, we declared victory.
To wit: the bathroom is no longer scary, the kitchen looks a bajillion times better, the living room and hallway carpet has been vacuumed and shampooed (and looks verra nice), and the table is more-or-less clear.
(The office and the bedroom are separate, long-term projects, both requiring in-depth thought to formulate necessary plans.)
Suffice to say, geekchick has shown Mighty Girlfriend Mojo, for which she should be lauded in song and story. (Though she may just have to settle for reciprocity and sushi from my end.)
BONUS: I am no longer afraid of having people over to the Deluxe Apt In The Sky-y-y.
DOWNSIDE: I am a puddle of tired nows.
