Here is the list of games I either purchased (or got gratis for review purposes) at Gen Con 2008:
Annalise: stories of hunger, pain, and redemption, by Nathan D. Paoletta.
Bullseye v1.0 (ashcan), by Justin D. Jacobson.
Don't Lose Your Mind, by Benjamin Baugh and Fred Hicks.
Messiah (ashcan), by Chris Perrin.
Misspent Youth (ashcan), by Robert Bohl.
Poison'd: a pirate rpg, by D. Vincent Baker.
The Shab-Al-Hiri Roach, by Jason Morningstar.
Shock: Social Science Fiction v1.1, by Joshua A.C. Newman.
Shooting the Moon: all's fair in love and war, by Emily Care Boss.
Steal Away Jordan: Stories from American's Peculiar Institution, by Julia Bond Ellingboe.
Sons of Liberty, by Josh Roby.
Things We Think About Games, by Will Hindmarch, Jeff Tidball, et al.
Over the next few weeks/months, between work on S7S and a new game
drivingblind and I came up with on the drive to Indy (I even got to playtest a bit of it at the con!), I'll be doing Underkoffler's Overviews on the above list of awesomeness.
(I'm thinking about doing these alphabetical by title... but also reshuffling so that the three ashcans get looked at first.)
To see what an Underkoffler's Overview looks like,
here's last year's gaming-related round-up.
I also got:
* A bar of soap, a signed 8x10 glossy, and a picture on my cellphone with my favorite superheroine, Hygena (that's
melodymuse).
* A copy of Ninja Burger: No Honor Edition and a draft of Vox from Aethereal Forge (per the PDQ license terms).
I did not get:
* The Ghostbusters RPG (because they're scarcer than hen's teeth)
* Order of the Stick: Start of Darkness (because I figure I can get it other places)
* Slipstream (because I bought a copy for
taschoene and plan on finishing it before I give it to him)
* Houses of the Blooded, by John Wick (because I: a. ran out of money, and b. didn't know where the booth was where he was selling them)
