Staring out into the icy darkness of the road, I remember what I was told following my promotion:
You aren’t supposed to get close to your agents.
You aren’t their family.
You aren’t their friend.
You are their boss - never for get that.
No matter how I tried, Mulder and Scully were different. They weren’t just agents.
When I heard her fiery voice I felt immediate dread.
This was different from the “old days.”
Experience has taught us what evil lies on the other side of the door.
I hope I can keep my promise and we find him.
