RIP George Carlin
My favourite comedian, philosopher and social satirist died today.
The last man standing in a camp of geniuses that included the late Lenny Bruce, Bill Hicks and Richard Pryor.
His existential, cynical yet humanist approach to our reality was inspiring, poignant and many times hilarious.
Carlin was a massive influence on my life and he'll be truly missed.
People remember where they were when they first learned JFK, Princess Di, Kurt Cobain had died.
I'll always remember where I was when I got the news on my phone from my father about Carlin.
I was taking a shit. No shit. I shit you not.
Carlin would have wanted it that way.
I don't admire Carlin for his acting but this is my favourite interview of him on The Actors Studio
