i'd had a long day at work, and the bus was packed. at each stop more people squeezed into the aisle, everyone sweaty and cranky and uncomfortable, trying to ignore the smell of armpit, the lack of breathing room, elbows in sides, crotches in faces. i sat slightly hunched, trying to keep hold of five bulging grocery sacks i'd packed beneath my seat

the guy from hoda's was at the st. mary's graduation i attended this morning. he patted me on the shoulder and said "how're you doing" or something

i can't believe he remembered you. that kinda sucks, because it means he remembers me, and i kind of wanted to go eat there sometime.
