this girl forced herself on gus and i downtown the other day. she was trying to get us to sponsor a kid for childrens international. she kept saying "it's not about the money, it's about how big your heart is!" but wait, doesn't it cost money to sponsor a kid? and then she told us about some of the kids and they all had at least 6 siblings, and all i could think about was how these people could really use some free birth control. she kept making assumptions about us like "you guys looks arty, you can draw pictures to send to the kid!" and "oh, you're married. you must be thinking about having your first kid soon!"
finally gus agreed to sponsor a kid but we were saved because they only take credit cards and he has none. at the end of the whole thing she actually said "a conversation like this one usually results in at least 2 kids being sponsored" i should have told her about neko case's idea to feed children to the tigers.
