So after missing my first softball game because i was at zion national park (coolest thing EVER btw. We camped....and did this amazing backcountry hike of about 8 miles that involved us going down this slot canyon with a stream running through it...we had to swim through really really cold water with those water mosquito things everywhere, rapel down waterfalls....it was pretty much amazing. i should be getting some pictures soon.) I make it last night to go to our second game.
The results? Well, I was 3 for 3 with 3 singles, an RBI and a run scored. I played second base and though I didn't make any amazing defensive plays (i wasnt really tested too much, which ive decided was a good thing), I was solid and made a few outs.
I guess what I want to say is that I don't have to be amazingly huge to be okay at softball. Yeah I'm not going to be the one hitting it out of the park, hitting triples down the line (maybe if I get more practice) but I can get on base and make things interesting.
We ended up tying the game in the last half of the last inning, which gave us a tie (crazy byu intramural rules, it was time for someone else's game). It was INTENSE though. I love it when games are close, like last night's suns clippers game. So close you cant go to bed even though you have to get up early the next morning to go to work.
Except I don't like it when Pistons games are close and Chauncey can't hit anything. That better change tonight. I don't want to be breaking any more chairs after throwing them off the balcony after we lose. Nope, that can't happen.
