so today, i wanted to go out. and when i woke up, i kinda just... didn't go out. haha, weird, huh? i just stayed a home playing with Charlie and cleaning up around the house. oh yeah, and don't forget working on the room once again. it never ends! praise God.
today i made an accent table out of an old stainless steel music stand that i sanded down and refinished with a matte black finish. on top, i connected a circular piece of galvanized shiny steel and using the existing music stand hardware, attached it as a table top. so now i have a great place to store books or crap or what not next to my handy dandy retro chic Canadian chair (yes, made in Canada, Canadian).
also today i made a lamp out of old plastic circular things, a magnetic board for letters, notes and memos that i mounted to the wall beneath my towel/coat rack, and a desk coaster out of corkboard for all those drinks that form circles on my desk. total expenditures: $0, because everything was in my garage. its a amazing what you can find poking around in there. :D praise God for that.
