Posting the official statement for those who haven't seen it

I have spoken to Amanda Kendal (Nancy Stevens) this morning. She requested
that I send this notice out to the lists. Please forward at your
prerogative.
... Amanda is in Saint Pauls Hospital with chest pains. She has some water
retension and some breathing difficulty. The doctors say she has a strong
heart. She may be moved to a different hospital today.
She tells me she is in great spirits and does not want folks to worry. She
is being taken care of very well.
I am sending her my best wishes.
