obama.

the other night i was thinking about my obama v. hillary post. i dont think hillary would make a better candidate, but rather my thoughts on obama were exploring possible faults. he's too good to be true, so i was looking for proof of something bad, something wrong, the politician in him. either way, whether that exists or not, i think i missed the truth for parts of it. the problems facing america in the near future will take an entire nation, or most of it, working together. he can do that & hillary cant. i dont know why anyone would want to be president for this next term, but he does. he knows what hes walking into, so that says a lot. he addressed race in america today in a speech. anyone reading this should watch it.

he has an objective point of view, scholarly and wise. i cant discount his personal experience, or at least what he says it has been. in his speech, you could see frustration in his face that he had to give such a speech, so in this i believe he means it. hes aware of what he's up against, and will be, so thats enough for me to follow. he's too good to be true, but im a bit cynical. maybe we are that lucky, i hope so cus thats where im putting my money. maybe he is the gift our generation has been given, so that we are not the last great generation. in my previous post i think i let my universalism influence my thoughts to the point that i didnt give full credence to the real problems that we face. were close to having very bad and irreversible things happen in the world, but hopefully were not there yet. i forgot this, but from the opposite direction.

Obama 08.
