the only victims who exist are those who have victimized themselves. the sad part is, most of those who victimize themselves don't know it because they percieve the negative influences to be coming from outside circumstances, not taking into mind that one chooses how to percieve the outside circumstances first! have any of you seen a beautiful mind? john nash overcomes the effects of his mental illness, even though it existed as a disorder.
next time you talk to somebody who is depressed, ask this question: "Did you do anything special with your day today?"
its hard for me to not call people morons sometimes. i was depressed for what felt like my entire life until i brought myself out of it. i still have days when im down. there have been times when i was down for a period of days. i did not give up hope that my life would be better later, and soon enough, it was.
let me tell you what happens to depressed people. you ask them if they did anything special today, and they say no. its even better when they give you an answer yet their voice and face obviously shows that they don't believe what they themselves are saying. they are denying the cure to their "disorder," or whatever idiotic accredited doctors label human behavior nowadays.
hello!? people!? you don't have a disorder that can be fixed with a pill. what you have are drugs that alleviate the pain of your disorder! as tylenol weakens the pain of your headache, depression medication weakens the pain of your thoughts. it is possible, as a result of medication, that you may better yourself, but thats not what i am trying to say. for some, yes...it may help them overcome this fake disorder called depression. what i am trying to get across is this: was the headache caused because you had a headache, or was the headache caused as part of an illness.
so, lets say you just take tylenol for your headache and you go to work. you keep taking tylenol to get rid of your headache. you are still sick, but you aren't in as much pain so you can function. if you continue this, you will end up being on the tylenol longer than if you had just never taken the medicine, ate correctly, and nursed yourself back to health. hell, if you want to be a "man" about it, GOTO WORK SICK WITH THE HEADACHE! I BET YOU WON'T LIKE TO GET SICK ANYMORE THEN WOULD YOU? i bet you would take much better care of yourself instead of making a lame excuse as to why you get sick. guess what, i haven't been sick in over two years, even after eating, drinking, and even kissing sick people. I DON'T GET SICK! our bodies have these things called immune systems that we have the option of nurturing.
the same exact principle applies to depression. how do i know this? because i have achieved it. i was diagnosed with severe depression. im glad i never liked the psychologists or doctors. i always felt like what they had to say never applied to me, and i felt like they could never give me a real solution. well, im here to give people a real-world, working solution that is drug free:
1. figure out why you feel depressed? if you feel like you are depressed because of a chemical disorder, you have it in reverse. thats like saying the headache caused the illness. i don't care what "real doctors" say, the only doctor that helped me was hard work and a little bit of faith that things would get better.
2. figure out what you have to do to change it. this will be a gigantic task for probably most people. but it gets easier after you break it down into small, daily tasks.
3. plan for the next day at least one thing you can do which will bring you closer to what you believe will make you happy. you need to figure out what you need to ACCOMPLISH in our physical world to bring about a real-life change. and then...
4. think about it as you are going to sleep, and as you are waking up.
5. DO IT!
6. REPEAT!
i stress that you need to accomplish physical tasks at first because by doing so you create a real-life foundation on which you will build new, happy, and exciting thoughts. your old thoughts aren't going to cut it anymore if you want to begin a new life. you need a new direction other than spiraling downward.
how often are people depressed when they are excited about something they are doing? they kind of forget don't they? wouldnt it be nice to forget depression forever. ive done it, and guess what: my brain's chemical deficiency seems to no longer exist. mind over matter america. get it together.
