"call me a poet!!!!"
omg!!! omg omg omg!!!
ok, well long story short!! i wrote a poem and put it into a contest. and i got a letter back saying that it's going to be published into a book call "Gifted" and it's still going to be put into contests where i might win money or be a runner up w/e!!!
and i'm getting a discount from 60 to 40 bucks!!!!
here it is, the form or ART!!!
"the patient rose"
"A rose waits at night. All in the dark, waiting for the light.
Without the light the rose is blind. Looking around nothing is seen right. Looking, all is hard to find. Where are the rest? All are similar in the dark. All are the same in this mess.
Patiently the rose waits, waits for the sun.
All the rose shows are its thorns. The rose appears to be all tough.
Although its pedals are soft, the rose struggles to still look rough, Or all will be lost.
Waiting, the rose sits in the dark. Sits for the light.
Where has it gone? Is it lost over the hill?
Is the sun not fond of the rose anymore? Is there anything the rose can fill?
The rose waits in the dark, waits for the sun.
Is it the sun that is lost in the dark? Is it the sun that is blind?
The light that left its mark. Can the flower and sun not bind?
The rose sits in the dark, waits for the light.
The rose sits wishing for the sun to come back. The rose can only look so far past the hill. Waiting for it all again to be intact. From far the rose sees the sun blocked by the mill.
The rose waits, waits for the light of the sun.
The light shining on the mill, seeing on the other side, the rose sees it all,
Sees the sun chose where to shine its light. Still the rose will just wait for when that mill will fall. And the light again will shine on the rose.
Patiently waiting in the dark. The rose still sits, waiting for the light of the sun."
