The Anoscope

Jan 19, 2006 01:21

Okay, I'm lying, there's nothing about anoscopes in here. But Brett was studying his surgical tools for school so it was in my mind.

School is so fun. Now that I've settled into it a little more I can be less overwhelmed and appreciate it more.

We watched Welcome to the Dollhouse yesterday in English and Mr. D is now our full time teacher. Awesome-o because he's hilarious. So, so gay, lol.

My Color Theory teacher is so cute. Not initially, but he is. It's so funny. Like, he had little slide shows that he does his lecture with and he uses one of those old timey slide projectors with the round slide case on top. And at the beginning and end he'll have random images like a truck on the side of the road and he'll say weird things like, "Now we're gonna get on the road." I don't know how to describe it because he's in his forties and he's kind of dumpy and he's got this super nerdy laugh, but he's so into his color theory. It's really cute. Like, we were playing with colored lights today and he was so into what color they made the shadows.

Anyways, Design today was fun. We had to find ten good and bad designs over last week and bring them in. I was stressing out hardcore about it because I had no idea what Corinne wanted because she gave us absolutely no guidelines. But I brought in my stuff and I did a pretty good presentation (I went first so I wouldn't freak out). It was so cool to see how everyone made the project their own though.

This one kid who's in all my classes (and who is adorable, by the way); we'll call him Chris. Chris amused the hell out of me by pulling a reflector panel off the street and bringing it in. Then he was saying that those slides at parks that aren't really slides but are really just two poles cloes to each other were shit designs and he had a picture of them and then a picture of him hanging off of one by his armpits and making a pained face. Yea, I laughed, it was funny.

Anyhow, I have a million hours of homework to do. I have to paint two monochromatic strip paintings and sketch a million and a half pages of cubes from different point perspectives.
