i wrote this awhile ago, but i was reminded of it today. my newest saying is "In the end it all comes down to love." I also heard an awesome homily last weekend when we were in Easton, PA from the priest there. It was all about love. He said over and over again, "Love your God and your neighbor because those are his two greatest commandments." I just wish I could find someone to love. I love every one of my friends, but there is still something missing...
whatever, here is the poem:
Love.
A word often said
Rarely meant.
Causes confusion and pain,
Paralleled by joy and pleasure.
Does anyone know what it really means?
Children say it to parents,
Unconditional love is felt between a father and daughter,
And a mother and son.
To friends, it means being there always,
Through think and thin, the good times and the bad.
Through marriage it is like the power of God.
Bringing two together to forever live as one.
To love one another til death do you part.
But no love has ever been greater
Than the love of the Son of God for all mankind.
He sacrificed Himself,
So that we may forever live,
In His Kingdom of glory.
He was crucified so that we may forever be saved.
have a great week.
