I woke up around 3:00 this morning. I crashed at a decent time, but woke up from the heat. I almost got back to sleep, but then I thought about writing.
Once I do that, I'm up for awhile.
Things have been going well with writing lately.
My blog is almost two years old, and
I'm selling ebooks. People still
listen to my podcast, and sales of
my first novel come and go. I'm submitting
my latest novel, and getting ready to rewrite my second novel and eventually release it as an ebook. There's also the possibility of writing a play, and I'm putting together the outline for the next book, which I hope to start next year.
I've been taking a
50-day social media break, and I've noticed that I'm writing even more. It's funny how all those little sweeps of Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ add up. (I consider LiveJournal more a blogging platform than a social media site, so in addition to my blog, I may post here on occasion during the break.)
I've always been a productive writer, even when I've had my lulls. But I really feel like I'm about to say busier than ever writing stuff that's even better than the latest novel. And that's saying something because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to top it.
There's only one way to find out, and sometimes that means being up early and getting busy even before you've had a cup of coffee...
