The Wrong Chapter

Nov 07, 2010 01:22

I just posted the chapter that makes Cynthia cringe to the Hell Comes With Wood Paneled Doors podcast.

I've been having a blast with the podcast. I made the decision to not do any editing as I go along, even though it's tempting at times. I want the story to stand as it was written in 2001 or 2002...whenever I finished the damn novel.

I'm about a quarter of the way done with the podcast, and now I'm sitting around thinking: what next?!

Hopefully by the time I need to do something else, I'll know what's up with the current novel. The first agent who read it was very impressed by the writing, but it wasn't quite the kind of thing he represents. Still, having an agent known for only taking time with stories he likes lets me know I have a good chance with this book. If it gets representation and sold, I'll probably use my second novel for the next podcast.

If nothing happens with the current novel, I may use it for the podcast and try selling the second novel that I put on a shelf and never tried submitting. (Not because I don't like it, but because it's a series, and I really wanted to write the book I just finished.

Huh...this almost qualifies as a real LiveJournal post.

Maybe I'll have to come here more often...
