Okay, this is the last bit o' pics from the snowy day.
Looking outside, we decided to go for a walk (ended up walking a couple miles in the snow).
I wanted to measure how deep the snow was. The only rigid ruler we have is a t-square (well, and a metal ruler with a cork back that shouldn't get wet), so I went out and measured the snow. Five inches at the time.
Took another look from the balcony...
And then it was time for the walk!
Spiders live in this tree. Maybe they'll think twice about building their webs. (Last night I got a web to the head and a spider almost in the mouth...last night, when it wasn't cold and the spiders were out. Something tells me there are no spiders out there tonight!)
Snow piling up. That's a lot of snow for Dallas/Ft. Worth area Texas.
Slush!
The parka I got for the Alaska trip for work that never happened. The parka came in handy today.
I think this is the first time I wore the hat they gave me at work when I started. I normally don't wear hats, but a visor helps keep the snow out of the face.
Notice the greenery in the tree. Trees are blossoming. Yesterday, birds were doing mating dances. Today, nature's scratching its head and saying, "What the Hell?"
