As long as it's not done by Disney-funded kids, that's cool :) The Devo 2.0 thing scared me.

I have Tank Girl comics...I even had Tank Girl art from the actual movie...I have seen bits and pieces of the movie, but I have not seen it all in one sitting.

Now, if they get these kids, in their little "DEVO 2.0" T-shirts to stomp around like brain eating apes while Singing "Jocko Homo," it will even out-do DEVO on the DEVOlution scale and I could get behind it 1,000% :)

I'm mixed on this. When those Kidz Bop CDs first started coming out many, many moons ago when Jake was atyke, I didn't see a problem with him wanting one. It was a way to ontroduce him to popular songs in a format he was probably more willing to accept as a 6 year old, than the sometimes 'brashness' of the original artists. Sort of a weening him into rock/pop music.

Of course, now that thety're doing something simlar to a band I cherrish (Both past and present) I feel defensive. I would think a better way to introduce a new generation to the antics of Devo would be a "Best of Mark Mothersbaugh" and combine Devo music with the themes of RugRats, Rocket Power and the like.

Now, if you'll excuse me, Ineed to sneak Devo's Greatest Hits and Misses on my son's MP3 player...
