That part was really good and well written and I'm super jealous of how good you are at characterizing Shirley.

I also like that Annie was the last one to know :). (In my head Troy has known Jeff is in love with Annie for a really long time, because he's really good at seeing the emotions in people and Jeff is pretty obvious.)

Yeah, I suppose what I meant was that Abed, Britta and Shirley have all directly talked to Jeff about it. Troy asks Jeff about it - so he clearly knows. He just hasn't heard it directly from Jeff's mouth until the same moment as Annie.

And we haven't gotten any in show follow up yet (I'm half convinced Harmon is leading to a confrontation about that, because Jeff is really worrying me this season).

Yeah, he's worrying me too. I kinda doubt we'll get a direct callback to GI Jeff, but I'm convinced that there will be a resolution. Jeff has been simmering all season, and he's about to come to a boil. And the reasons behind it are basically the same as what lead to his episode in GI Jeff. So if they deal with the stuff from this year, I'll be happy enough. Oh, and I read the fic you just posted - it was super good! But, of course, continues to make me sad about Jeff. I loved the distinction you made though "Frankie is our friend, Jeff, but you're family." But that also makes me sad again that we're down to 4 of the original 7... And I'm glad they refuse to let Jeff go mope by himself, because this season it seems like that's exactly what he would have done.

By the by, I first saw your fic posted on Fanfic.net, and your screen name made me curious if you live in Virginia. I'm in Arlington, just outside DC.

Poor Jeff :(. And yeah, I just really want it dealt with and for the study group, especially Annie, to smack him in the head with how much they care because he really needs it right now and I just want to hug him. You're probably right about the lack of direct callback, but yeah as long as they deal with this season I'll be happy, especially since it's basically stuff from last year (and I can see them not bringing up GI Jeff to him in an attempt to protect him and themselves and because he insisted it was an accident a hundred times).

Aw, thanks!! I'm glad you liked it-- I'm always unsure about posting fic and stuff so that really makes me feel good :). I think that distinction is one that really needs to be made in the show-- a lot of Jeff's issues imo are because the group doesn't give him the verbal affirmation he needs as much (I'm thinking Jeff's all about verbal affirmation he just doesn't need it) so he doesn't realize that they view him to be family as much as he views them to be. And yeah, the study group, especially the Core Four, will always be family. I'm sad we're down to, but as I've mentioned I am foolishy determined that Troy is coming back!! And Jeff has always moped by himself, it's why GI Jeff happens, it's just that this season he really needs someone to drag him back to the group.

I actually don't-- I was born in Virginia and my Mom was raised there, but I don't live there, sadly-- I'm in the Great Lake State. I made that username when I was a teenager to try to fool internet stalkers, lol. I go to Virginia a lot, and my Mom's family is scattered throughout the Richmond/Williamsburg area. I'm super jealous you get to live there though.
