Hello, fellow bloggers!
I know it has yet again been a while since my last blog, and that is partially due to sickness. I came down with a sore throat on Sunday and I felt really tired and had a runny nose. However, things started to clear up on Tuesday and now I am almost back to my former healthy self.
Today's dilemma is whether to go swimming today or not. I want to go, but at the same time I don't because softball is a little more than an hour after I would finish swimming. Whenever I go swimming before softball I always get rather tired for softball. Also the chlorine feeling that I get after swimming in a public pool. The good points are the refreshing feeling of the water, practicing my strokes, and driving to and from the pool.Hmmm...only 15 minutes to decide...
On Sunday, the day my sore throat was developing, Dad has all the kids get outside and help him chop down one of our pine trees. We thought that it would be pretty easy as it isn't the biggest one back there, but, lo and behold, it was probably the hardest tree to get rid of. It was tall and densely packed with branches, so we were working all afternoon, chopping and wheelbarrowing the huge loads down to the curb in the front yard. Needless to say, we were all exhausted, but after dinner we did more! This time we switched my bedroom and the boys' bedroom. See, the boys needed more closet space, which my old room had, so we had to switch around. Now I have the bigger room, but they have more space for storage. Anyway, we only switched the bunkbeds on Sunday night, and then on Monday we moved everything else, which took pretty much all of our day there. I'm glad we got it all done though, because we have been wanting to do it all summer. It's just too bad I was sick when it happened. ;)
Earlier this week my dad bought plane tickets for me to go to the United camp in Heritage, Pennsylvania in August. Luckily for us, he was able to use his frequent flyers to pay for most of it, seeing we only have to pay 5 bucks. Getting the tickets is really a relief for all of us because now they don't have to drive me up on the one Sunday and then drive back up the next Sunday to pick me up. It would be pretty tough for all of us if we had to do that.
Well, I've decided against going swimming. I'll stay home and fully recover this week. Plus I already exercised today.
