Because I'm bored, I put together a FST of Kabuto/Heather from her point of view. I freely admit that a few of these songs are only on here because one of two lines fit and I was too lazy to try thinking of something more suited to whatever moment it's for, because that's what you get with something built on boredom!

First of all, I figured I might as well go the whole nine yards and throw together a cover (even though they look sorta silly next to each other with the different types of animation). And what the hell's up with the lack of screencaps of Kabuto standing in a full body shot? It took me forever to find the one that I used in the middle of all the ones where he's only shown from the waist-up or less.

And, here's a .zip of the full thing for anyone who wants all the songs.

1. Melissa Ferrick - Then So It Is (lyrics)
Prior to getting gooed, Heather's a pretty big mess. She had, in the past month, gone insane, started dying of radiation poisoning, did die from having her throat ripped out, and then had a mental breakdown. By the time they meet, she's been pulling herself back together but isn't totally all right yet. This is for that.

2. Lamb - Gorecki (lyrics)
Heather's been wandering around with the love goo just waiting to take effect all day when Murata lets everyone know it's time for their blind dates. Heather never signed up even though the sheet says she did, but she figures 'What the hell, I'm trying to get to know more people anyway' and heads to hers. Introductions are made, and suddenly she's head over heels in love with someone she's never even seen before.

3. Sufjan Stevens - For The Widows In Paradise; For The Fatherless In Ypsilanti (lyrics)
This song's mostly on here for the repeating "I'd do anything for you"s at the end, though other parts fit as well. Anyway, it's for right here, which, like I've said a few times here and there, is the exact moment Heather starts developing real feelings for him beyond the goo's influence.

4. Phillip Boa & The Voodooclub - And Then She Kissed Her (lyrics)
Just to refresh your memories if you've forgotten, Kabuto was a (cat)girl when Heather was cured of the goo. They made out to cure their catness and his genderswitch, then mid-kiss he fell for her and she stopped loving him.

5. SH3 - I Want Love (in-game version) (lyrics)
After the goo's gone, Heather goes off to cry, talk to Momoko, and decide whether she thinks it's even worth trying to hold onto their relationship. Then she calls him to Black Gear-san to tell him what she's decided.

6. Dar Williams - In Love But Not At Peace (lyrics)
Skip forward most of the month, the tenth plague's coming and Heather's terrified for him, and realizes that she's fallen for him again. But she can't really be happy with that since, as I said, terror.

7. Murder by Death - Pillars of Salt (lyrics)
The night of the tenth plague starts. Heather helped everyone else in the camp by providing them with goat blood, and then she turned her back on all them to protect Kabuto alone in the one way she knew would actually work. They spend the night in the basement while she oozes out her life to keep him safe.

8. Angie Hart - Blue (lyrics)
Kabuto's been kidnapped by Stanley, and Heather searches for him. Interesting note that's never actually mentioned in-game outside of in one strike-text comment, during the hunt whenever Heather got too hurt/tired she killed herself so she could start fresh from her last save.

9. Catie Curtis - Troubled Mind (lyrics)
After days of searching and fearing and only holding her back from breaking down because she knows that if that happens he's doomed, she's reunited with Kabuto.

10. SH3 - Never Forgive Me, Never Forget Me
Big timeskip here, to when the Gentlemen are around. An instrumental piece for when she heads down into the freezer and finds him dead.

11. SH - My Heaven
Instrumental again, as Heather very creepily hunts down The Gentlemen and destroys them. And for anyone who wondered; no, she didn't actually turn into the Memory of Alessa boss, it's just another illusion like the Alessas that were running around camp that day. She was hoping it might give her more of a psychological edge in the fight.

12. Patty Griffin - Kite Song (lyrics)
Kabuto comes back to life.

13. Eliza Gilkyson - Twisted
Some people might remember that I've shared this song before. No specific moment for this one, it's just for how Heather feels about Kabuto in general. She knows full well that he's a shady guy (maybe a little more than he knows, since she does pay attention when Naruto and others from his world are warning people about him) she just doesn't care. Warning for language on this one, if you're around people who'd get upset that you're listening to a song with the word "fuck" in it, make sure to use headphones.

14. Peter Gabriel - Mercy Street (lyrics)
Halloween, and Alessa emerges. The choice is more about Alessa herself and her relation to the Otherworld, but what can you do? Also, if Kabuto had ever called Heather 'Cheryl' to Alessa, she would've told him that Cheryl was off with her father now.

15. Richard Thompson - King of Bohemia (lyrics)
I just... kinda have a mean sense of humor about the Mother of God thing sometimes. As you might've noticed with her first computer. Another song that's not for any specific moment, just the fact that there's almost always something happening that makes one of them worry about the other.

16. Adem - Everything You Need (lyrics)
One ending, one of them ends up going to the other's world. ...And then isn't very happy, but ignore that part of the song!

17. Laura Doyle - Let You Go
Possessed Alternate ending, in the end they both go back to their own worlds alone. You might recognize some of the lyrics as the ones that were splattered around that drabble that depressed everyone.

18. The Story - In the Gloaming (lyrics)
Following that same ending, thinking back on it years later.

19. Angie Aparo - Spaceship (lyrics)
UFO Ending! Heather's alien daddy and James come, blow up the camp, and whisk the two of them off into the stars! Or something! Also the "one for my love that came and went" line always makes me think of the love goo wearing off.

ETA: Reuploaded the .zip so anyone who wants the FST can still get it, but I won't be doing the same for the individual files.

ETA2: Reuploaded to megaupload Feb. 6th April 24th, so it'll stay up longer if anyone ever wants it.
