On another note, after watching a few episodes and reminiscing I've remembered once again how great a TV show Pete and Pete is. For a 3-season kids series this show was absolutely divine. It influenced the way I think and what I consider to be funny, and it still has its effects on me today. Looking at Pete and Pete episodes I realize that I think in the abstract, in the same way that Big Pete thinks, and I wonder whether I've always been an abstract thinker or if I were influenced by Pete at an early age.
The character names in Pete and Pete are some of my favorites ever. I love comic book-like character names, the kind that tell you exactly what the person is all about. All of my faves come from 2 series: The TV Show Pete and Pete and the video game Metal Gear Solid. They are:
"Endless Mike" - Enemy of Big Pete
"Open Face" - Another enemy, eats nothing but open face sandwhiches
"Pitstain"
"Papercut"
"Mr. Tastee"
"Artie: The Strongest Man...IN THE WORLD"
"Solid Snake"
"Liquid Snake"
"Cyborg Ninja"
"Psycho Mantis"
"Revolver Ocelot"
