Gets to me every time
You know those days when you wake up and just feel like taking a shower and being ready just in case something happens. It's like your gut is telling you that something will happen that will cause you to need to be ready. Well...thank you gut...turns out I got a call from my "long lost" brother who has been living in Hollywood and Pennsylvania for the past three years.
Well, he and my biological mother picked me up and took me to Providence to drop off some applications and now I'm hanging out at their place. So, here I am catching up with my brother and I decided to show him this video from GodTube that is a dramatization of God setting a girl free from worldly bondage...and it has the song by Lifehouse called "Everything". This is it...

I haven't seen the video in a while, but as I sat watching, my eyes began to tear up and my heart felt so moved. You know, I've been reading this book called "The Shack" the past week and so the new ideas about God and the desire for us to have a relationship and to let go of our independence has just really struck a chord with me. It's like, every little bit of faith I thought I had is nothing at all...it was not truely faith....and it's so refreshing in a way. I'm growing and learning....looking at ideas I never even thought of...my mind is crossing thresholds not even imaginable..and I love it!
I love how God just continues to hit me in the face with him self and put me in experiences where I can't help but see Him, think of Him, and push the limits I have on Him...it's just awesome!
God...may I die to myself and give up my independance everyday....may you live in and through me...may You be the center of my being (my thoughts, feelings, emotions, love, actions) and may I give into the passions You've put in me....for it is in that instant that You are living out loud through me!
On another note, Grace still hasn't contacted me back about a second interview...I'm kinda giving up patience with it. So, I got an application and an e-mail back from the Wilson county school board aboout Substitute teaching...and I applied at Lane Bryant, Bath and Body Works, Providence theatre, Old Navy, PetSmart, Books a Million...so we'll what happens.
Turns out the US2 from Martin is planning on coordinating a mission trip to Haiti in March or April...I gave her some contact info of some people who already do mission work there...so hopefully, I might get to go! That would be so great!!!
