Just don't get it.

So we got an email from our friends several states over.  They lost their pregnancy at 20 weeks.

This is sad, and they are sad, and we are sad for them.

However, when Mr. Janus spoke with the female half of this partnership, she was not ruling out the possibility of trying again.

OK:  the first kid, that turned out okay, turned out okay because she was bedridden for six months.

Second kid, that she lost, was lost for a similar reason she was bedridden for kid #1.

And they want to try again?

I'm sorry, but I don't understand.  You have one healthy child, which was the result of much torture (she is a smart woman and if I put myself in her place, I'd shoot myself being bedridden for that long).  I think I'm angry at the male half of this partnership.  I would expect a man who loves his partner to put his foot down and say, "Hey.  I love you, I don't think you should go through this, one kid is okay."

Do you all think there is a time when it's being assholish of the other partner to put the woman through medical problems because their family isn't big enough?

...or is it just me?
