I'm sure that I'm not the only one who believes that this latest incident warrants a new community owner. Pardon the pun, but deleting the community over what amounts to 'I don't like that everyone disagrees with me' is childish.

Seconded. "ZOMFG YU DON'T AGREE WITH ME WAAH!" is not the way to run things, ESPECIALLY when one of the rules is "you must be flameproof".

Thirded, loudly. Some may remember the dabacle at childfree where the mod there went on a big banning spree when people started calling her buddy out as an irresponsible breeder. A lot of us here were disgusted by it, as I recall.

tigerwolf expressed joy and amusement that Steve Irwin is dead. Almost the entire community resounded with a loud "WTF YOU'RE PSYCHO." the_13th_muse proclaimed that she agreed with tigerwolf. The community failed to change its opinion and still continued to blast tigerwolf.

Community disappeared shortly thereafter.

The rumor is that there was hissyfit on the part of the Head Mod. "I'm taking my toys and going HOME." kind of thing.

Unfortunately, the un-bahleetion is causing more questions than answers.

The received theory at this point is that our illustrious comm owner couldn't take the heat, so she deleted the comm. I don't have any proof of that, mind, but considering how quickly the comm vanished right after the wankfest, it seems like a reasonable conclusion.

That was a post from Aug, referring to something different.

Not saying the rumors aren't true, just that that particular post has nothing to do with yesterday's situation.
