As if I take many things seriously any more

Well, that's it. The longest home winning streak in the NHL is 23 games! And if the Red Wings had to fall to anyone, I kind of don't mind that it's Vancouver. Just... damn it, Daniel Sedin! Fifteen seconds left, you couldn't just... ARGH (9>o<)9
(lol this girl crying at the game, poor dear, they caught her on camera and her boyfriend comforting her with a "come on" and a hug)

School's still going well, even if I did have to take the whole day off today. After going to work yesterday with a mild fever and hoping no one would notice (no one did), I decided maybe I didn't need to push it again today and maybe I should just sit and read and get better. And it worked. It's weird, though, it's the second time I've been sick this winter. I can also trace it back (probably) to not sleeping enough. Like last time.

There's also the possibility that it came from last weekend's trip out to Jessi's house, but if this is the cost, I think it was well worth it! Jessi lives out in the middle of nowhere on a small lake where they get more snow than we do, so of course it was actually winter when we went there! Our Minnesotan driver Carolyn even got our car stuck in a snow drift, after discussing at length how Michiganders don't know how to drive in the winter and that our left turns are stupid. (That's what you get, Carolyn dear, that's justice.) So we had a good snowball fight on the lake and some sledding while aiming for the docks and lots of board games and telephone pictionary because what is internet or satellite access at a place like that. She has literally like a dozen siblings, many adopted, and if I caught a cold from playing with them, that's okay. If I caught a cold from eating at Burger King on the way back, that is not okay.
But I'm over the cold now, so I am okay.
And I admit it's been fun sleeping for nine hours like I should.

Tomorrow there are some professional development seminars going on that I should listen to, and then to watch the 2004 film version of the Merchant of Venice that my friend Priyanka says is fantastic. Even though my teacher hates it. For taking too many liberties. On a Shakespeare play with who-knows-how-many penis jokes in it.
Shakespeare is serious business, guys, be careful.
