Title: comforts of home

Rating: PG

Fandom: gym

Genre: fluffy angst
Summary: The thought of the brothers wanting him with them to feel secure warms his heart.

A/N: With all the political protest and the ousting of Premier Thaksin in Thailand, I though about writing something about Golf and Mike getting away from all of that.

It takes them almost six hours to arrive in Tokyo on Johnny Kitagawa’s private jet. Not a single fan in Thailand knows they left; not a single fan in Japan knows they have arrived. They spent the whole flight awake and in each other’s arms. They tried to ignore Johnny’s blatant stare from across the cabin. They were told to never fall asleep in front of him. The plane touches down in Tokyo at midnight in secret, hiding in the night. They are hustled out of the sight of people and into a private room. Standing in wait for them is an old friend, and the relief in his eyes when he sees them enter the room is refreshing.

“Long time no see,” Yamapi tries to say in mangled Thai, that hasn’t improved much since he last seen them. He wishes he had practiced more.

He finally gives up and says in Japanese, “Welcome back.”

Mike ends up saying I’m home in Japanese instead of saying I’m glad to be back. Golf realizes the mistake but doesn’t say anything. Yamapi smiles at Mike fondling before ruffling his hair. He puts a warm hand on Golf’s shoulder and gives him a smile also. Yamapi notices how they are more grown up since he last seen them; they notice Pi isn’t as bulky and a lot more slender. (He doesn’t seem to remind them of a gorilla anymore.)

Johnny makes a sound with his throat to catch their attention. It seems he is too tired to wait for them to get through catching up. Yamapi tries to hide his frown.

“You two must keep a low profile. No one knows you are here. I’ll try to fly your family over within the next week. You’ll be staying at a hotel here in Tokyo,” he says in English with an old rusty voice.

“A hotel?” Yamapi asks surprised as he looks up at the old man.

He pulls his boss aside to talk to him further. He looks over his shoulder at the brothers before turning back to talk to Johnny.

“If they need a place to stay then they can come to my apartment. I’m sure they have been through a lot, with all their government problems and being pulled away from their family to come back to Japan. They should stay with someone they know,” Yamapi whispers in hushed Japanese, trying to use the most complex forms of words so that the brothers might not understand.

Johnny looks back over at the two before looking back at the idol with curiosity. Yamapi usually doesn’t get this emotional.

“You two will be staying with Yamashita,” Johnny says before leading the group towards the door.

They smile as they look up at Yamapi in appreciation. They really didn’t want to stay in hotel by themselves this time. As they leave the room, they are once again hustled out till they get inside Yamapi’s car. Golf and Mike sit in the back seat while they leaned into each other on the way to Yamapi’s apartment. Pi tells them that he’ll fix them something to eat when they get there. He also warns that Jin might be there. They can’t remember the other idol that much so they aren’t particularly worried.

Once they make it inside the apartment they find Jin playing Yamapi’s PS3 in the living room.

“What’s up?” Jin asks the brothers in English as Yamapi heads for the kitchen.

He begins cooking while the three continue to talk in English and play the video game. Once the food is done the four of them eat together around one in the morning. After stealing the last bit of Yamapi’s meat, Jin heads out the door and saying he will text Pi in a few days if he doesn’t get lazy. Golf and Mike clear the dishes while the older idol tries to straighten up the mess Jin left in his living room. It is almost 1:30 when Pi looks over at the clock. Golf soon comes out of the kitchen with Mike trailing after him.

“You two can sleep in my bed. I’ll sleep out here on the couch,” Yamapi says as he tries to straighten out a cushion that is already in prefect place.  Mike looks at Golf then whispers something in Thai. Golf nods in return and gives Yamapi a meaningful look.

“Would you mind staying in the bed with us?” Golf asks as best he can in Japanese with unsure eyes.

The thought of the brothers wanting him with them to feel secure warms his heart. He has always had a soft spot for them, and that is why is things always ends up awkward. He nods in agreement as he takes their bags to his room. They are all quiet as they pull off their shirts and jeans making sure to not look at each other. Golf is first to slip into the bed with Mike by his side. They huddle together on the right side of the bed as Yamapi gets in on the left. He isn’t sure how close they want him so he stays at the opposite side of the bed. When Golf finally moves toward the center of the bed, he scoots closer so that he can feel their warmth.

They all say goodnight a few times in a couple of different languages before Yamapi turns off the lamp.

“I’m glad you two are here,” Yamapi says softly in the dark.

He can’t see Golf and Mike smile in the darkness.

“We’re home,” Mike says once again in Japanese.

Yamapi and Golf don’t have the heart to correct him.
