Worse today. Goddammit.

Staying home from classes. I never stay home from classes. I hate staying home from classes. The minute I click that little 'send' button on the apologetic e-mail to my professors, I start to feel slightly better, and think 'arg! I could have gone after all! Dammit ( Read more... )

This is going to be the first year in a long time where I actually have to go to all my classes. I'm against it.

Drink lots of tea. Does your throat hurt? I love the taste and the feel of the Throat Coat tea (it has licorice in it, which I love, but some people don't). And sleep all of today. And don't let Dr. Bob/Lauri force you to sing more than you feel is wise for your voice. And, um, I send you better vibes!

Honestly, I haven't been sick since I graduated college. I don't think it's a coincidence. I bet you caught this because you were all stressed out.

I had a terrible night and morning. Fell into whiny emo self-degradation. Realized I forgot $15 worth of paper products on the bottom of my grocery cart. Overslept by an hour, and barely made it to work on time. Felt like shit and couldn't stop telling myself what a waste of space I was.

Fortunately, holding baby mice made me feel better. So did coffee.

I send you much love. Also, did you get your mail yet? Maybe I will send you more mail. I am entertained by mail-surprises.

I am indeed drinking lots of tea. Can't stand the taste of anise, but I like the smell, so I'm putting the Throat Coat I bought to try (without knowing about the anise) in the big pots of water I use to steam the hell out of my sinuses. Am drinking ginger-camomile instead, and sometimes white tea with blueberry. 'Tis yummy.

I'm so sorry you had a bad night. Incidentally, I'm also sorry I wasn't actually on IM when I appeared to be; I'd fallen asleep with my laptop next to my head and I think I accidentally signed on by rolling over on my keyboard or something. (I also did something to change the layout of my iTunes. No idea what. It looks all wonky now.) Sudoku-ing in bed when ill and restless is apparently a bad idea. Don't tell my mom.

Holding baby mice sound curative under any circumstances. You have no idea how much I envy you your daily access to baby mice.

I send you much love as well. And yes, I did get your mail! It made me THIS happy. It's going up on my wall ... along with a card my family sent with Buddhist monks on a ( ... )
