Over the recent years Hollywood has been looking to the video game industry for inspiration of its story lines and doing movies of such. Its latest example is that of the series "Hitman" which is coming out later this month. I am however a bit peeved by this because this is yet another movie based off a FPS game that seem to be widely prevelant on store shelves. None of the last SUCCESSFUL video game to movie transitations have had a RPG or RTS basis for them it is all based off First Person Shooters (that is besides all the Uwe Boll films), so we end up with two movies based off Tomb Raider, three movies based off Resident Evil, one movie based off DOOM, and now the Hitman movie. Why can't Hollywood make a movie based off say Command and Conquer given all the cut scenes in that series or even that of StarCraft? (never mind the fact that there is a World of Warcraft movie in production) Heck I wouldn't even mind seeing a movie based off Oblivion or such anything to get game developers and the country to produce more RTS or RPGs (That aren't MMO) rather than to have to settle for cheap 3 rd party knockoffs from publishers and companies I haven't even heard of.
