Media I'm looking forward to in 2012
HEY GUYS. THIS IS ME MAKING SURE I POST AT LEAST ONCE THIS YEAR.
- More Tosh.0, Colbert Report, and SNL.
Look, if I'm anything I'm a psycho-democrat. Which is why Stephan Colbert brings me SUCH GLEE. Plus everytime he mentions the Walker situation in Wisconsin, I feel all vindicated. Plus PLUS he's become so epic at this point that whatever he does next will have to be amazing. For example, I can't wait to see how he'll top this:

Tosh.0 is my guilty pleasure - I know Tosh can be kind of douchey, but he's just so ADORABLE. When he smiles I want to hug him, even when he's saying horrible things. And the show is pretty much always funny.
As for SNL, they've pretty much hit their stride right now. Seth Meyers, besides being TOO ADORABLE FOR WORDS (have you seen him and his brother on Jimmy Fallon? LOVE <3) is doing an amazing job as head writer. Add in Bill Hader (my current fav cast member, ahaha~ the CREEPY EYES) and Andy Samberg (who I'm just in love with FULL STOP), and they've got a great cast dude-wise right now. My only complaint is that Kristen Wiig, while UNDENIABLY AWESOME, seems to be picking up a lot of the slack for the girls right now.
If Justin Timberlake (who's beginning to rival Colbert for sheer EPICNESS) hosts again, my life will be complete. :D:D:D
- More Game of Thrones
I don't think I've mentioned this yet, but I loved the books, and the show has been EVERYTHING I WANTED IT TO BE AND MORE. Seriously, Peter Dinklage is so so awesome - when he won his Emmy I literally clapped like an excited seal. But the very best part of the show is Nikolaj-Coster Waldau, who has officially made Jamie Lannister the sexiest thing on earth. And since this is about when Brienne should show up, that means we can expect more HOT! JAMIE! ACTION! to come.
- Final Fantasy Type-0 and possibly Silent Hill Downpour
I am so damn excited for this, everything I've seen looks amazing. The graphics, the characters, the story, the gameplay I WANT IT ALL even though now I have to buy a PSP
As for SH:D, I want to be excited so badly because it's SILENT HILL, and some of the new ideas (like more exploration of forrested areas) seem really cool. I'm worried though, since the last 3 or 4 Silent Hills have kind of sucked outright. But I'm going to be positive about this one for now at least.
And at first I was all excited for the new Silent Hill movie, because VINCENT IS IN IT played by Jon Snow from Game of Thrones! and he just may be the greatest video game character of all time. But now it looks like they took creepy sarcastic Vincent and turned into nice teenage hottie Vincent? VINCENT IS NOT VINCENT IF HE'S NOT CREEPY MOVIE GUYS. ;______;
- Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
I DID NOT KNOW TIM BURTON WAS DIRECTING THIS HOLY SHIT. Plus one of my favorite actors of all time that nobody has heard of but DAMN IS HE PRETTY Rufus Sewell is PLAYING THE VILLAIN WHO IS A VAMPIRE. Marton Csokas is apparently in there somewhere too, which is awesome since it seems to indicated that he's more or less becoming a Tim Burton staple - he was in Alice in Wonderland too. I've had a pretty major crush on him ever since Aeon Flux YES I LIKED THAT MOVIE SHUT UP, but he's not in a lot of stuff, so I'm glad he's doing more.
In short, there is NO WAY this movie isn't going to rock hardcore.
There's tons more to be excited about (Dark Shadows movie ALSO TIM BURTON, more American Horror Story although God knows what they're going to do in the second season since the first season already made my head explode, more Community maybe GOD I HOPE THEY DON'T CANCEL THAT SHOW, more Doctor Who AMY+RORY+ELEVEN OT3)
And I haven't even looked at new anime - Last year I was absolutely in love with Gosick and Dantalian no Shoka until the last episode WTF happened there?
Buuuuut I need to pace myself, since I do actually have a life outside of tv, movies, and video games... I just don't talk about it here, because THIS IS MY FANDOM PLACE.
Okay, that was my post for the year. Now if I neglect this journal again, I don't need to feel guilty. D:
