Aly's 30 hour famine
The middle school at Beaverton Christian Church is joining thousands of other middle schoolers in a famine. They are raising money for World Vision who provides for the hungry all around the world. Aly sprained her ankle so she hasn’t been able to go around to gather donations like she would like. Her goal is to feed 2 kids for a year and that will take $720 in donations. It sounds like a lot, but with many people donating it will add up quickly.
We are asking for a $35 donation, but if you cannot do that we ask for anything you can give including prayers for each of the kids that are participating. A 30 hour juice fast can be hard for some of them to do and I am very happy for the kids that are committing to raising money and fasting. I was very excited when Aly came to me to say she wanted to do this and help out those who don’t have food or clothing.
