Day 6 in Japan! Hey Say Jump concert
I know I'm skipping days 4-5 but... I can't help it. Yesterday was another dream come true for me.
It didn't start right as I got left behind in Shinjuku. I was supposed to ride a highway bus to Shizuoka but the bus just left when I got to the terminal. No choice but to take the local train. I got myself a ticket and left. GOODBYE 4000 YEN. I had to transfer 3 times until I got to the concert venue. That was around 3pm. Left my luggage in the coin locker in Shizuoka (since Aino doesnt have the big lockers) then I headed straight to Aino.
Good thing was there are no lines for the goods. I just went there and bought my yamabuta uchiwa,penlight, and bag. I was thinking of buying the towel too but I didn't (and I regretted it cause..well,read on).
By 4pm,the gates opened and fans started filing up the arena. I was expecting a small venue cause that's how it looks outside but noooo. I was deceived. Haha.
I won't go into specific details but I'll list down what I can remember:
- I absolutely love the stage effects. It's edgier and cool.
- they have rearranged some of the songs. It isn't weird and it actually fits their adult-like theme.
- candle performance: seriously. The.Feels. I think my mouth was hanging open all throughout this song.
- Yes performance: I died. The intro was amazing. It was funny when Hikaru was introduced as the "most dangerous" then they showed his goofy pose. Then the song started and all I could do was stare. Haha. Yamada's hip rolls is dangerously addictive. This show should have a higher rating. Kids, don't watch. Hahahaha
- Oh Idol: looooove this! They also show a video on the background with the rest of Jump fanboying over the other members. Haha. It's also fun to cheer アイドル！
- RELOAD performance: the boys looked so cool with their hats on and dance number. 7 came from the other side, while BEST came in from the main stage. I'm so glad they included this in the concert.
- i forgot which song was it but when Yamada was riding the moving cart,he almost fell. It was great that he was able to catch his balance on time. Abunai yo Yamada.
- MC: I can't really understand much Japanese but I know they're teasing Inoo and Keito's hand holding during one of their performances and that it looks forced. They kept on mimicking the two and it was funny how they told the two to do it again then Keito did it with exaggeration. Yamada then planned to show how it's done but when he looked beside him, he saw Chinen looking hesitant to do it (LoL). They did a monomane battle too which started with Yamada vs. Hikaru but then the other members started joining in. Roflmao. Oh, and they did a lot of promote for their tv shows. Yamada even instructs fans to go back home immediately after the concert to watch Kindaichi's last episode.
- they showed Suikyu Yankees video before performing Asu e no Yell. READ: I REGRET NOT BUYING THAT TOWEL CAUSE EVERYBODY ELSE WAS WAVING THEIRS DURING THIS PERFORMANCE. THEY DID IT TOO IN THE ENCORE!!!huhuhu.
- Forever and Setsunasa Hikikaeni performance: they did this back-to-back. Forever was so cool. I just wish Yamada was on my side of the arena haha.
- lots of YamaChi and YutoYama. There was even YamaHika at one point. Haha. Yamada wtf.
Well, that's all I can remember for the main show. However, my highlight was during the encore.
I made my own uchiwa with フィリピン (Philippines) sign to let the boys kno wthey also have fans here. I gave up trying to wave the uchiwa halfway through the concert as I doubt they could see it. During the encore though, Yabu and Yuya showed up in the moving carts 5 levels below. Since they are standing on the elevated carts, they were on my eye level (and vice versa). That's when I started waving my uchiwa frantically. Yabu saw it for a second and made an OK sign. Yuya smiled, but it was a split second only.. Then they moved to the stage again. I looked for Yamada and found he was on the carts ON THE OTHER SIDE. Huhuhu.
Moving forward, I accepted the fact that Yamada might never see my uchiwa in that show and proceeded to watch the rest of the encore.... but then the boys came up again on the mocing carts! This time, it was Yuto and Hikaru on our side. I started waving my uchiwa again but I think Hikaru missed it.
BUT YUTO EFFFFFFIN SAW MY UCHIWA AND STOPPED AND POINTED AT IT. He looked at me straight and mouthed 'Hontou? Firipin?'. I remembered nodding and screaming "Firipin!!!" Then Yuto laughed before mouthing 'Arigato' and waved back before moving on.
I cant believe that exchange happened. It feels like a dream. Haha. Yuto effffin stopped even with hundreds of fans trying to catch his attention at that moment. He stopped when he noticed my uchiwa~ our eyes meet~ kyaaaa **ok, so I'm still on a high* (Yamada don't sulk, you did not go to my side of the arena :p)
Well, that's it. I'm still in Shizuoka as of writing and trying not be too sad I couldn't watch thw concert happening just 50mins away from where Im at. (Huhuhu) I'm planning to watch today's concert too but I'm running out of funds :(
