Entry # 2 Chapter 1!!!
Title : What You Don’t Know Won’t Hurt You
Rating : PG
Summary : Tegoshi got admitted into university, and was arranged by Koyama to live in Yamashita’s house.
Chapter 1
“Ne~ Koyama-kun, are you sure that your friend is willing to rent out his room for such a low price? And is it really alright with your friend? Do you think I should find another place to live instead? What if…”
“Stop! Just go ahead alright? Tomo-chan totally won’t mind at all.” Not after everything I’ve done to get him willing. “I’m hanging up, alright?” Koyama switched off his mobile phone and turned to the person beside him.
“Ahhh. Yuya-chan is such a naïve person, that’s why I’ll only be reassured if he lives with someone whom I know very well.” Koyama said, while adjusting to a more comfortable position in the person’s hug.
“Then why didn’t you let him stay with you instead?” the person asked.
“Because you’re here.” Koyama smiled. “Ne~ Shige-chan, let’s go back to sleep okay? We had a long night yesterday. I’m aching all over right now.” Kato kissed Koyama’s forehead lightly and the two of them went back to sleep lovingly.
Tegoshi looked at the screen of his mobile phone, and it took only a slight second for him to make a decision.
“Yosh! Ganbarimasu!”
Grabbing his luggage, Tegoshi entered the lift and reached the apartment door of Kei-chan’s friend shortly after. Ahhh. I wonder what kind of person is… Chotto, what is the name again? Tegoshi looked at the name carved into the wooden tag under the door bell. Hai! Yamashita san ne.
“I must give a good first impression… I must give a good first impression… I must…” Tegoshi chanted multiple times whilst making his way to the apartment door. Gathering up all his courage, he pressed the doorbell once and waited for the door to open.
However, no one answered the door.
Eh? Yamashita san is not at home? Feeling a little bolder than usual, Tegoshi pressed the doorbell a few more times. Finally, the door opened, and he was shocked by the first word that came to his mind. Pretty. Nani? It’s totally wrong! He’s a guy!! Tegoshi shook his head, clearing out all those weird thoughts about the man who stood in front of him.
“Alright, alright! Just what do you want?!” Awoke from his sleep and totally annoyed, Yamashita’s words sounded harsh to the young man up front. Unfortunately, his anger had barely registered in Tegoshi’s mind, who a little while ago was having some weird thoughts of his own. It took quite some time for the still-dreamy Tegoshi to realize that his landlord was in no mood to entertain any visitors.
“Sorry for waking you up!” Tegoshi was intimidated by the angry tone in Yamashita’s words and bowed repeatedly. “Kei-chan asked me to find you for the rental of your room. If you’re not okay with this, it’s alright. I can leave right away if you w-”
“Stop! Just come in now so I can get back to sleep. The room at the far left is yours. Just ask me some other time if you need anything else.” While saying this, Yamashita was already returning to his room, leaving behind a struggling Tegoshi to pull his oversized luggage bags through the door himself.
“By the way, what is your name?” Yamashita asked, pausing at his bedroom door.
“Tego… Tegoshi Yuya desu!” Tegoshi shouted from the doorway, after finally managing to get his luggage bags through it. “You can call me Tego, or Tegoshi, or Yu-” BAM. Before Tegoshi could finish introducing himself, Yamashita had already slammed his door shut. His character certainly didn’t match with his looks. Demo, he is kakkoi na~ Tegoshi thought distractedly, while dragging his luggage across the living hall to go his room.
“Uwa… This house is so clean na~” Tegoshi exclaimed while looking around the house. He sat on the sofa and realized that all the things were arranged neatly. Even the CDS were arranged alphabetically.
“Ah! I should get some breakfast ne~ For myself and Yamashita san as well!” Tegoshi had been too nervous the night before and even now, to eat anything. Now that he’s finally in the house and acquainted with the landlord, the realization of hunger hit him hard, and in the stomach.
Koyama once described Yamashita’s estate to Tegoshi, as he had to know how to travel from there to his university. Tegoshi got admitted into Waseda University, and was preparing himself for the new semester in his first year in the university. Due to the long distance between his house and the university, he had to find another place nearer to the university to live in. However Koyama was not in favour of Tegoshi living alone, and offered to find a place for Tegoshi, which turned out to be Yamashita’s place.
Therefore, Tegoshi had remembered everything Koyama had told him, every detail of every street, building and even every stall. However, Tegoshi had forgotten one very important component.
“Ahhh. I forgot! I don’t have the keys!” Poor Tegoshi had to search for them all over himself before realizing that he really didn’t have it on him. Taking a deep breath, he pressed the doorbell warily.
“Who is… What is it again?” grumbled Yamashita, at the sight of Tegoshi on his doorstep. He rubbed his eyes irritably, agitated by the fact that he had been woken up twice from his sleep.
“Gomen ne Yamashita san. I was thinking of buying breakfast for the both of us, but I forgot that I haven’t taken the keys from you. So I went out without the keys, and only realized it when…”
“Stop! I’m going back to sleep. And don’t wake me up unnecessarily again.” Just what kind of luck do I have to be woken up twice in the same way by the same person? Yamashita thought, and he couldn’t imagine how life would be like for him from then onwards, not before he got his sufficient sleep.
“I’ve bought breakfast for you as well, do you want to have it now or…” Tegoshi asked as Yamashita was returning to his room.
“Just leave it there.” Yamashita answered curtly, leaving Tegoshi to look wistfully at the shut bedroom door, yet again.
