OMG, you're hitting my area of personal pride here! Dialogue is my baby! I'm proud of really nearly all of it! I like dialogue that's quirky and really distinct in the voice, and I think I'm pretty good at it; I think it's a theatre thing. I hear voices like Resonant, damn her, gets touch and smell (I never get touch and smell! I don't know what the fuck things feel or smell like! but boy do I hear voices!)

But I'm going to go back to DS - I loved writing DS. Like:

From Interrogation: " "I don't need sweaters. Well, I mean, I do-to the extent that everyone needs sweaters. But I need so much more than sweaters, Ray."

or

Chicago's Most Wanted: ""I'm saying it's a Fraser kind of plan!" Ray yelled. "Diabolical and nutritious!"

or

Flying Blind: "Just, I-I'm kind of feeling that-" and it was close, now; right on the tip of his tongue, and so he blurted it out. "I'm not gay, Fraser."

He wasn't sure what reaction he was expecting from Fraser, but it wasn't laughter. "I'll say," Fraser said, blithely tossing his stew plate into the snow. "Most days, you're not even chipper."

I have to say, I'm also really loving writing Steve and Bucky. When they're together, I let their Brooklyn out as much as I can. In my ears, together, they're sarcastic, they're ironic, they're all slouch.

What We Asked For: "But because what would I even do with you. There's so much of you. And all your stuff, your issues, which are so totally not my issues. And then," Tony said, "despite the whole baby-faced angel thing you've got going, there's the tremendous ego. You don't fool me; I can see it."

"Well, I do personify America," Steve said, and gestured to his massive self with both hands.

or from Cap and Sarge: "Is there still dancing?" and the plaintive note in Bucky's voice made Steve's heart stop; he took a breath before answering.

"Not so's you'd notice," Steve replied with regret. "They call it that, but-- Our kind of dancing, they call ballroom dancing."

"Ballroom?" Bucky repeated. "That's kind of hoity-toity. What about dancehall?"

"You'd think," Steve said, "but that turns out to be another thing entirely."

Er, I don't know if this answers the question. But there you go!
