Speaking of icons I love the way she looks at Jayen in yours. And then in the scene she like closes her eyes and her expression's like "OMG is he serious?!"

Fair certain Zoe has that thought about Jayne in many contexts!

"OMG is he serious!" *He just had a total meltdown in a saloon.

"OMG Is he serious?" *He is going to marry River!

How does Zoe not (try to) kill Jayne for trying to kill her Captain?

Well, there's a story there now isn't there >;0) partly understood when you realize they are in an up close and personal encounter in a crowded cargo bay and shooting one could lead to shooting the other. And Zoe for all her skills and prowess, would need to get in the first shot in a brawl to have a hope of stopping Jayne...so yeah... She may want to, but can she?
