Ah, I love your use of imagery, which is so great since I'm usually so damn prissy with how I like my imagery! Each word you use brings out a differet facet of what you're writing, and it's so opposite of one of my biggest, if not biggest, pet peeves, when people write everything and actually bring out nothing when it comes to imagery and emotion.

“Yer hands are cold… like always I guess… don’t know if ya even know what warm is anymore.”

I did love that thought though, the idea that Jayne would be oblivious to her turmoil seeing him rise after falling as uf nothing had happened, not even acknowledging, if he is even aware of it... It occurred to me watching River that she never looked warm or bothered by coolness. She just existed at whatever temperature there was.

And always being aware of how Jayne is heat, fire and River is cool and flowing.

River either says many words for a simple concept, or few words for immense meaning. I hope it came through well.. I enjoyed trying to hear her thoughts and simplifying them to single words.

And River is so reactive. Or vice versa. They make a fascinating yin and yang, I think. In your stories either one is meaningless without the other, because their nexus creates the universe. In a tantric sense, of course.
