Right then, saw this Meme first on
maantre 's journal and then followed it over to
alexis_laforge 's journal and said, what the heck, why not...so I asked whaddya wanna know? And here are the answers...

Questions
1. What is your profession?
I am a classical dressage instructor. Basically I officially teach people to ride horses so that it looks like ballroom dancing. Beautiful, elegant, effortless...but, since I am a believer in education, I weave biology, philosophy, physics, mechanics, history.. anything really, into my teaching. I end up with well rounded, articulate students who come to me and say they find that what I teach them in an indoor arena resonates through all areas of their lives. Way cool! I have some of the most gifted, intelligent, motivated clients, who often become friends, in the world.

2. I know your background is in biology, but in what aspect of biology does your interest lie? Cellular? Botany? Zoology? Pathology? Genetics?
Evolution.OK, and a bit of most of the rest... mostly macro-evolution though- change of populations over time, both as a group and morphologically. For example, horses: domesticated 6000+/- years ago: how are they morphologically different? When will that selective breeeding limnit their viability to reproduce with aboriginal populations. (Aboriginal being groups untouched by man). Or separately, how does our impact on one group of organism affect the surrounding groups?
Botany as it relates to Linneaic groupings; pathology as it relates to why things happen as they do in degrading systems; genetics, well, bluntly, when people reproduce and reinforce negative characteristics, what does that lead to in the popluation as a whole? That alone could consume a lengthy conversation....Almost every field of study in the sciences holds interest for me, as well as psychology, philosophy, art, politics, religion- it does not matter to me- they are all interconnected and part of a greater whole...that was the short, short, short answer btw....;)

3. What about River's beautiful personality inspires you to write your lovely stories about her?
River was a mystery to me until I started to let her answer the interview questions. Then I just let go and let her speak. I found she answered things from the end position and I would have to lead her back around to the whole question again, but she would continue to answer the question as she perceived the end. It became very natural to follow her logic that way... She then started to add in elements I had not considered and then there it was, a love I had not expected, nor looked for, nor, in truth, thought was possible or supportable. And here I am now, watching an evolution in the life and love of her and her Bearcat...And that has made me see her so much more beautifully than I had ever conceived I could.

4. What's your favorite dinner?
Depends...summer, Mom's potato salad (potato, cucumber, grape tomatoes in mayo, and sour cream with grated onion and curry!!! YUMMMM) with eye round roast coated in salt and grilled for two hours...yummmmm yummm, yum!

5. Do you have any pets?
I have two dogs, Small Munsterlanders, a versatile hunting dog from Munster, Gerrmany. Most people mistake them for a spaniel or a small setter. Brown and white, with a spaniel like coat, a long tail, and droop ears. Both females, Bella and Kyra. They are with me all the time since they can come to work with me, they are my contant companions...
