Since the streets have been clamoring for me to comment on my new Macbook, here are a few observations
- Migration Assistant was sublime, only one or two things didn't work and that was because they were ppc specific
- No Firewire, this was almost a show stopper for me, but I'm an APPL shill so I bought a non-pro Macbook anyway
- Power Chord is ~1/2 the length of the iBook 12" power chord I had before, lame
- Power Chord takes up ~3 two prong outlets due to it's shape vs. a single three prong outlet, lame
- Mouse gestures on the pad are lame, how is 'put four fingers on the pad, swipe, remove two fingers, move two fingers left, put two fingers back onto the pad, tap' easier than 'cmd+tab' for switching apps?
- Quicksilver is fucked up, but I didn't really care about figuring out why
Overall though, I'm glad I'm not constantly running out of disk space and hating life on my old machine.
