He usually chases dogs to tire them out.

Cuz someone I've never met before chasing me around threateningly with a blunt object is an awesome work-out! I do it three days a week for 30 minutes. It's great for cardio, because when you are terrified for your life, that really get's that heart pumpin'! It's the new workout plan that's sweeping the nation!

Yeah uh...I wasn't asking for a discussion, I was answering the OP's question. But thanks for the insight.

What question would that be? The OP just summerized the episode and asked for opinions. That is the point of this community...to discuss Cesar Millan and his techniques.

I was referring to this statement:

"I don't entirely remember what his exact reasoning for chasing the dog were, I think he wanted the dog to associate him as the dominant one, and that by chasing the dog down on the dog's own territory, he would accomplish that. If I'm wrong, please do correct me."

Please, take down the hostility.

I wasn't being hostile, just pointing out the OP's intentions. You were the one who got a tad snippy.

I was snippy, not to you though. So I don't understand why you have to explain to me what this community is for...that may or may not be hostile, but it is however, unnecessary. I made a response in reference to something the OP asked...and then get a response to a discussion I'm not even having - that's a little aggravating. I made one statement, of fact, that doesn't even indicate whether or not I agree with the method and get some "snippy" answer in response. So if that offended you, I apologize.

Sorry if you find it unnecessary. I'm not a mod of the community, so I guess it's not my place to stick my nose in. Even though you were not snippy with my I still found it rude and it was my turn to find something unnecessary.

Any time you post something in a public community you might be engaged in a discussion you did not intend to be part of. Especailly one made for debates, although that didn't have to do with the debate topic.

It may be aggravating and of course I'm just aggravating it even more, so if this annoys you just don't respond. Simple enough.

Oh okay cuz I read this part:

"I don't entirely remember what his exact reasoning for chasing the dog were, I think he wanted the dog to associate him as the dominant one, and that by chasing the dog down on the dog's own territory, he would accomplish that. If I'm wrong, please do correct me."
