Seriously, can the summer be flying away any faster? Of the cajillion plans I had made for the summer I've accomplished, maybe, three. At least we're having fun, however, even if we are a little busier that I had planned.
- We did manage to get to Dutch Wonderland last week! Ellie had a ball! There wasn't a ride she was frightened of and the log flume was her favorite. We rode it three times and each time she loved it more and more. We went on the kiddie roller coaster (she wasn't tall enough for the big one, much to her chagrin) twice and both time Little Miss Daredevil kept her arms up in the air the whole time. She also took her first pony ride, and that put the biggest grin on her face.We spent the whole day there, and crashed on the ride home. She hasn't stopped talking about it since!
- Managed to get some long weekends home to visit my family as well. It's amazing watching Ellie with my niece and nephews! She just flies away from me and plays with them constantly, thus giving time to actually talk and visit with my mom and dad and the rest of my family. She's officially a kid now, becoming more and more independent all the time!
- We are now officially a diaper-free household! Ellie has been sleeping in undies for almost a month now. There were a few accidents the first week or so, but after that, it's been a breeze! She actually was the one who wanted to try to sleep in her undies. She had been dry in the morning for a few days when she announced that she didn't want to wear diapers anymore. Fine by me!
- Both DH and I are in rehearsals for separate shows, so we haven't had a lot of coupe time lately. E's show opens next weekend, so we're trying to plan a date night sometime after that...maybe we can actually get out of dinner or maybe even (gasp!) a movie!
- Eric's birthday is at the end of the month. I'm trying to think of some low-budget gifts to get him. Maybe a new travel mug for work! I'm partial to the first one in the second row, myself!
