I wonder if they'll ever show Cesare getting syphilis. It'd be nice if we consider the character's development, since it's said the scars on his face made him feel very uncomfortable. Around the same time, Lucrezia was happily married, so we can all imagine how anguished he should have been.
But when it comes to physical features, I'm always quite apprehensive. TV shows creators tend to want beautiful appearances for their leading actors. With Tudors, for example, we never got to see Henry in all his degradation, no matter how important that aspect was.
Surely covering up that face of François is a big crime, such a huge pity...! BUT if it helps to make Cesare a denser character, then I'd be glad. With Tudors, for example, there was a moment when I started to feel that Henry was fading and becoming an insipid, badly constructed figure, because most of his actions in real life were indeed motivated by his physical degradation, but seeing so little of this perishing during the show, we only watched him becoming more and more emotionally out of control for no clear or coherent reason. I fear this might happen with Cesare too, I don't know. I don't expect them to go as further as exploring the neurological bad effects of syphilis, just the insecurity caused by a bad appearance would suffice to me, I guess...
What I've been wondering about Sancia is how her relationship with Lucrezia will be like. They say they were close friends, but that moment at Gioffre's marriage when Lucrezia says she hates her already just because she's beautiful seemed almost like a promise of future troubles between them.
