Francois Arnaud Talks About Season 3 for Cesare and C/L

Jun 20, 2012 00:08

Francois Arnaud gave an interview recently in which he talks about what he'd like to see in store for Cesare (and C/L) in season 3...most relevant excerpts below under the cut.

Let's put it this way, going into Season 3, what would you like to see Cesare doing?

I would like to see Cesare avenge his father [laughs] and I think he will. And I think what you can expect from Season 3 is that there are a lot more enemies than you thought there were. And that if Della Rovere succeeded in poisoning the Pope, 10 more people were just waiting to do the same. And you were just not aware of it. I think once Cesare realizes that, they're in deep shit. [Laughs.]

And also I think the relationship with Lucrezia hopefully grows into something more mature and not necessarily easier, but more of an adult relationship, less childish and innocent.

More of an adult relationship, OK.

[Laughs.] No, not in that way!

I didn't say anything!

Well you thought it. I heard you.

Lol stealing lines from Rodrigo Borgia are we? :p

So what do you all think of this "adult relationship" he wants that isn't in the sense we want it to mean? I have to say, I'm kind of perplexed by the "not necessarily easier" part--when was it ever not easy? :s Or does he mean "not easy" in the sense of being torn apart by his ~impossible love~ for her? I love Francois but sometimes I find his words about C/L a bit confusing...O_o

If by less childish and innocent he means more of the kinds of scenes like we saw in 2x10, or discussing murder techniques like in 2x09, then I am game for it! I do hope that the adorable is not all lost though.

What do you all think?
