random 4am crap.

mmm, iphoto....now that i've sufficiently learned the ins and outs of itunes (read i spent practically 2 full days playing with it), it's time to start in on the picture collection.

now - need to work on internship stuff for the summer... nyc, or boston, or d.c., or london, or...well, anywhere that will give me a position and where i can get housing! boston's no sweat, cause i could live at home or with josh. but ben's still in d.c. for the foreseeable future, so should i go back there? staying here in the city would be incredible, and i could live in my bgc apt. and what about going overseas? oy, choices! must really start making phone calls and sending emails, but cold calling puts me in a cold sweat. yuck, i hate selling myself to people. it is a necessary evil, though, especially in this sort of profession. guess i gotta just suck it up...

sooo...skype, anyone? what a fantastic program - it lets you talk over the internet like you're talking on the phone, using a peer-to-peer connection and the computer's microphone. ben sounded clearer than on my cell phone! the weird thing is you can simultaneously be running the integrated instant messenger, which is kinda redundant, yet pretty hilarious. i could hear the ping when ben got my message... and, best of all? not only is it cross-platform, but it's completely and utterly free! and no, i am not employed by them to sell it.;) ben learned about it from his friends in israel - long distance is so expensive over there that they use this to call their families back here. take that verizon, now ben and i really can talk anytime for free!

i'm going back to work tomorrow so i can earn some extra $$ to buy ben's hanukkah present (we're always running late with gifts). oh, yeah, and pay down my stinking mastercard balance. while i'm shelving, i need to think about my opus essay...i'm not happy with the beginning, and the thing's due like next week. well, i'm not too worried - after all, i did write that last final in 5 hours, and i think it was pretty decent. i just want the essay to be really good, and really...me. we'll see.

new year's resolutions are coming...

ben, career
