I haven't. :) But I'm still not sure I'll ever want to? It's sort of not the way I want to remember him.. I might, of course, someday! When I'm a little more over it.
you've been a hardcore fan for longer than me so i can see where it might be harder for you. but girl, he's extraordinary. i highly, highly recommend it. ben and i both completely rocked out. it's not at all sad, but rather a joyous celebration of his talent and drive. *hug*
I'm sure he is. His clothes still hang on him, though. :x I've been youtube-ing old videos a lot. And, man, that is like opening up a can of worms, you can watch for days.
been there, done that, rented the dvd from netflix. ;)
i have some downloads i can share if you want. lordy knows you've always shared with me! i'm into the late 70s, early 80s stuff right now, especially the variety show performances. pity there don't seem to be a lot of downloads out there for that.
hmm, most of them on my external harddrive...let me see... this is what i know i have for sure:
live in bucharest dangerous live in yokohama bad that german concert from history one other bad live concert private home movies special most of his videos mtv vmas 95 mtv 10th anniv motown 25
The other Bad live concert? You mean like a whole show other than the one from Japan? (Or just the one song..)
I'm interested in the History concert too. (wah I'm still so pissed at myself for taping over the Helsinki show I had from the HIStory tour a long time ago.)
And the MTV 10th anniversary and Motown 25, what are those?
mtv 10th anniversary is a great performance of "black or white" and "will you be there?" with slash and many choirs. he looks wonderful. it's from 1991.
now, come on, you know what motown 25 is!! i refuse to believe you've never seen it. it's the iconic "billie jean" performance from 1983. the first live moonwalk. the first appearance of the sparkly black jacket and fedora combo. berry gordy invited mj and his brothers, including randy i think, to perform a medley for the 25th anniversary of the founding of motown. michael said he'd only come if he could also perform "billie jean" solo. a legend was born. stop me if i'm ringing any bells... ;)
yay! let me know if you want more. if you ever feel like being surrounded by fans, you should join shamone_mj, http://community.livejournal.com/shamone_mj/. i love that place. the girls get a little crazy sometimes, but it's a lot of fun and a great source for photos, downloads, fanfic, and the like.
