"After the jury read their guilty verdict Williams, according to transcripts, looked to jurors and mouthed: "I'm going to get each and every one of you motherf------." - Reuters

I have had a hell of a time finding other articles that describe, with any detail or scrutiny, the evidence that convicted him. This and the fact that he was convicted by an all-white jury bothers me.

There were protestors on the news earlier outside the jailhouse where the execution was going to take place. Since I'm in the neihborhood, I thought about going to join them. Alas, what would have been the point?

My mom worked Death watch that night...(she works there). As for weather I thought he should have been exicuted or not... I honestly dont know...I dont know the trial. And I dont think thousands of protesters would help much...(there was some complaints from some being arrested). ok...if it seems like I am rambling...it is cause I am tired and just woke up

Technically speaking, he isn't the only one, the court of appeals can order a stay of execution, but he is the only one who can essentially do it whenever he wants with just one stroke of the pen. Of course the president of the United States has this power over inmates in the federal prison system, but I am unsure if he could order clemency or a stay of execution for prisoners in any state system as well. Not that there would be much chance of Bush ever ordering a stay of execution.
