Well, I of course had a little mental celebration of 06/06/06. Won't happen again for another hundred years, right? I most likely won't be around. Maybe I will--I don't know.

Anyways everything was fine until my cell phone rang at 2. No one ever calls me! Who could it be? I figured it was most likely my mom--but, no. It was my bank. I've goofed again. I have got to start using a check register. I have got to stop spending so much money. Do I think I'm a prettier, more substantial version of Paris Hilton? (Without the dog, for sure). I guess I must 'cause I'm just handing out the money (back off--that well's dried up).

So how much did I overdraw? 'Cause surely they wouldn't charge the $36 charge if I'm only overdrawn by, say, $1.99, right? Surely since I have $100 in my savings account they'd transfer that before charging me, right? Don't call me Surely.

I was overdrawn by $1.99 (I guess I forgot to write down a charge) and they didn't transfer the money from my savings. Those bastards. Those fascist capitalist (I guess you can be both at the same time--I know most corporations are) asses.

Anyways so I panicked, transferred money and left work the earliest I could to go to the bank. I was freaking. I was almost broke to begin with--now I would be absolutely broke. I'd had a lot of money saved ( a lot for me--hint: I'd had almost a whole paycheck's worth of money saved) and it's gone. I have to stop this madness (I say as I mentally plan to go to Starbucks). The madness must end HERE, NOW. As the song says: Right Here, Right Now. With my generation. Only I have the key. Time will be my guide. Time's on my side. I'm the chosen one (or something).

Anyways...so I was worried I'd get the same utterly inflexible, rude woman I got when this happened in December. No--I got a very nice guy who I guess was the manager--he was in the really big, nice office. He asked me where I opened my checking account, I told him, he said "Oh I just transferred from there!", we commiserated and I began to see a ray of light come through the darkness. He said he'd take care of the charge "just this once" but I really needed to go ahead and transfer the money from my savings if I think I'm going to spending more than I have in my checking.

I think I actually bowed I was so relieved.

So I came home, did some laundry, took out the trash ('cause I'm going out with a friend from work tomorrow and won't have time) and started watching Mean Girls. I've never seen it--I love it! I think I want to buy it. I have to say I actually like Lindsay Lohen--in this movie, at least. Maybe she's this cool in real life; who knows. I like her friend, too--she's awesome. For a few horrifying moments I thought she was Lacey Chabert, but then I realized that the ex Party of Fiver is one of the mean girls. Not only was I going to have to rethink my whole concept of Lindsay Lohen, but her too. It was too much to bear. I am relieved.

Anyways I don't know if I've mentioned it, but my hairdresser, who may be on crack, cut my hair really short when I went two weeks ago. I can't do anything with it--we're talking Ronald McDonald 'fro (except with brown hair). So I've been putting it back a lot.

Also, the other day I took some pictures of the geese at work. We have at least a dozen--probably more. Today they were so cute--they were all huddled together near the bank and they decided to cross the busy street--even though there's no lake on the other side of the street. So the dozen crossed the street single file; why they don't fly, I don't know. I was so worried about them, but people in the cars were being very courteous--the cars stopped and patiently let them cross. Man, the geese were slow. Only one car honked its horn. Then of course they had to cross back to the lake a few minutes later. It was so cute--the very last goose was a very tiny young goose and it was trying so hard to hurry but its litttle legs just wouldn't go fast. It was scooting along behind as best it could, though.

Geese are supposed to be mean, but these must be very tame. They let me pass right by them. Some of them had their tongues hanging out and I swear they were wagging them. It was so strange. They seem happy, though. I didn't get pictures of them today, but these are from a few weeks ago.

Tell me if you can see the photos.

Okay, well that's all for now.
