List of Shows I Went This Year

So I think I actually went to a lot of shows this year. When you feel like you had done nothing for a whole year, it's nice to make a list and recall things.

In fact, every single show I went this year had been really amazing.

  • Yeah Yeah Yeahs: Yes! Yes! Yes! Secret show at Glasslands Gallery and got a great 'hug' from Karen O. Never forget!
  • PJ Harvey: Just saw it. She is an amazing lady. She played every single instruments: Piano, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Banjo, A tiny synth, Keyboard, Drum Machine, and even a feet keyboard. One-woman show. Speechless. Super high range falsetto. My brain exploded when she sang "The Mountain".
  • Jarvis Cocker x 2: The legendary singer from Pulp performed in New York City. Though he sticks to his solo album, his quirky dance moves remained the same. It's theatrical and always nice to learn how svelte he is.
  • Muse / My Chemical Romance: Went all the way to New Jersey to see this giant festival. Supermassive Mosh Pits, and Muse rocking out like they should.
  • Kate Ferencz x n: Saw Kate play many times. Something new each time. Alright, she may be reading this, so I'll just keep things sekrit.
  • The Decemberists: Was it last year or this year? His show antics were well-documented. It's a fun band, and definitely better than Death Cab during ulve.
  • Goldfrapp: Dancers with horse heads are always fun.
  • Placebo: Went to see this metrosexual for the first time, with Kinga. As usual, Brian Molko intentionally sang the wrong melodies, but always at the wrong time.
  • Grandmaster Flash: A free show with Queenie in Meatpacking District. Holy shit, this man can spin. It was super-crowded basement but everybody danced.
  • Bob Dylan: Went all the way to Long Island to see this halfway. Still don't know what he's rambling. Acquired taste.
  • Death Cab for Cutie: They played at the MSG. Girls were screaming the whole time. Worse than the Decemberists.
  • Whisky and Whores: The name suggests how great they are.
