Interesting factoid re gay relationships - among the various ancient Egyptian tombs, there is
a tomb of a m/m couple. The presentation and poses on the wall paintings are equivalent to those of het couple tombs, which are analyzed as married couples. These two apparently shared the title "overseer of manicurists in the palace of the king". Talk about stereotypical.
Adding links to
nice pics of wall paintings from the tomb (including the couple embracing and kissing) and
more information, and
a wiki summary, for future reference.
I encountered this factoid before and forgot about it. Posting it here will probably help my own recollection.
