The powers of the internet!
My friend's teen was missing for a few days. The police did nothing. Calls to friends and such did nothing.
Finally I got my friend's okay to make a flyer and go to the internet. My FB post got almost 250 shares. A lot of those shares were shared more. My tweet with a link here was re-tweeted a few dozen times. I even got a little spammy... I posted to the FB pages of schools in their area with the flyer and a plea to held Dez get home safely.
Some how, some way, Dezerae saw the flyer. She texted her Grandma (who's raising her), and came home. They obviously have some work to do, but having her home safe and sound is a great first start.
